Lutestring is a new suite of folk tunes written and recorded by Norfolk musicians, Adam Clark (Guitar & Banjo)  and Nic Zuppardi (Mandolin, Tenor Guitar & Banjo), inspired by the ‘wonderfully harmonious and intriguing’* world of British moth names. Nine moths have lent their names to original instrumentals which the duo have recorded and will be releasing in September 2024, accompanied by a tunebook including Nic’s beautiful original linocuts of the moths.

The book will be launched at a unique event on 21st September 2024 at the Ted Ellis nature reserve in Surlingham, which will combine a performance of the tunes along with an opportunity to experience the magic of ‘moth-ing’ first hand. The duo will also be playing a range of other dates in September and October 2024.

Clark & Zuppardi have previously released 2 EPs and an album, and are described as “Refreshing & impressive” by Rock n’ Reel magazine. Their new project showcases their tune-writing, versatility and virtuosity as folk instrumentalists, and will be a delight for fans of folk music and natural history.
